What we collect
When you send us an enquiry, we collect:
- your name
- your venue or event
- your email address
- what you're after, and anything else you choose to tell us
When you place an order, our checkout (run by Shopify) collects:
- your name, email address and phone number
- your delivery and billing address
- your payment details, which go straight to the payment provider. We never see your full card number.
- what you ordered
This website doesn't use cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits, so we can see how many people visit and which pages they look at. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across other websites and doesn't tell us who you are. The Shopify checkout uses cookies to run your basket and payment, and it will ask you about any optional ones.
Why we use it
We use your details only to reply to your enquiry, and to take payment for, deliver and support your order, class or event. For enquiries, our lawful basis is that you've asked us to get back to you and we have a legitimate interest in answering. For orders, it's to carry out our contract with you, and to keep the records the law requires. We won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing unless you choose to sign up.
Who sees it
Only the Tipsy Tinnies team. We never sell or share your details. These services handle them for us:
- Netlify, which hosts this website and receives the form
- Cloudflare, which counts visits to this website without cookies
- Google Workspace, which runs our email
- Shopify, which runs our checkout and takes payments
- our delivery courier, who gets your name, address and phone number to deliver your order
These services may store data outside the UK. When they do, they use the safeguards UK law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to two years, then delete them. If you place an order, we keep the order details for six years, as UK tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. You can also object to how we use it. Just email enquiries@tipsytinnies.co.uk and we'll reply within a month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
